Jesus is known as the Prince of Peace, but in Matt. 10:34-39 he as some very difficult words for his followers... words that sound contradictory to a message of peace. However, rather than a contradictory message, within these few verses Jesus is actually teaching his followers some very valuable lessons about conflict and what complete devotion to Christ looks like.
