As we begin Mark's gospel account of the life of Jesus, it's important to know a little about the author. Who was this guy named Mark? He wasn't one of the 12 disciples. He never actually even met Jesus as far as we know. So why was he chosen to write about the life and ministry of Jesus? Why is his account considered authentic and reliable? More importantly, what can we learn from the fact that God used him in such an incredible way?
